Use QuickBooks integration
Connect QuickBooks, review sync status, and use the upload/review tools for clients, services, products, schedules, invoices, and financial reports.
Before you start
- You have owner or bookkeeper access.
- You can sign in to the clinic's QuickBooks account and authorize the integration.
Who can do this
Owners and bookkeepers have QuickBooks access in the Simone sidebar. Other financial pages may be available to admins or HR depending on role, but QuickBooks is restricted.
Step by step
- 1
Open QuickBooks from the sidebar. If the clinic is not connected, use the Connect button and complete the QuickBooks authorization flow.

- 2
Review connection status before uploading or syncing data. Token or authorization errors should be resolved before running a batch.
- 3
Use the upload tools for clients, products, services, appointments or schedules when QuickBooks needs fresh operational data.
- 4
Use QuickBooks Invoices, Sales Report, and Cash Flow views to reconcile Simone activity against QuickBooks.
- 5
If sync results look wrong, stop and reconcile one record end to end before running a larger batch.
If something isn’t working
Tap a question to see the likely cause and the fix.
QuickBooks says the token expired.
Why: The clinic's QuickBooks OAuth token needs renewal or the authorization was revoked.
Fix: Reconnect QuickBooks from the QuickBooks page. If reconnect fails, ask technical support to inspect the QBO token handler logs.
An invoice is missing in QuickBooks.
Why: The invoice may not have been posted, may have failed validation, or may be waiting on a background sync job.
Fix: Open the invoice in Simone, check its QuickBooks posting status, then retry or review the sync error before creating a duplicate in QuickBooks.
