Logging in to Simone

How to sign in for the first time, what you’ll land on, and what to do if you’re locked out or forgot your password.

Last verified 2 min read

Before you start

  • Your admin has created your Simone account and sent you the sign-in link.
  • You know the email address the account was created under.

Who can do this

Anyone with a Simone account. Menu items and todos are filtered to your role automatically after login.

Step by step

  1. 1

Open the sign-in page at your clinic’s Simone URL. You’ll see the Simone logo, a ‘Sign in to your account’ heading, and fields for your email and password.

  2. 2

Enter the email address your account was created under. Use the same address where you received the welcome email.

Email is case-insensitive, but typos are not — double-check before clicking Sign in.

  3. 3

Enter your password, then click ‘Sign in’. If this is your first login, you’ll be asked to set a new password on the next screen.

After sign-in, everyone lands on /dashboard. The menu and todos you see are filtered to your role.

  4. 4

If you can’t remember your password, click ‘Forgot password?’ next to the Password label. Simone will email you a reset link at the address on file.

The reset link is valid for a limited time. If it expires before you use it, click ‘Forgot password?’ again to get a fresh one. Some clinics disable self-serve password reset — if nothing happens when you click the link, or if you don’t receive an email, contact your HR lead or clinic owner to reset it for you.

Once sign-in succeeds you land on /dashboard — that’s your confirmation you’re in. What you see next depends on your role: clinicians get a row of six stat cards, front desk sees a nine-card reception layout, and owners, clinic managers, and HR see full-width rollup panels.

Open the dashboard article for your role to learn what each card or panel means: ‘Your dashboard — Clinician’, ‘Your dashboard — Front Desk & Admin’, ‘Your dashboard — Owner & Clinic Manager’, or ‘Your dashboard — HR’.

If something isn’t working

Tap a question to see the likely cause and the fix.

I see ‘Invalid credentials’ or my sign-in silently fails.

Why: Either the email or the password is wrong. Simone doesn’t tell you which for security reasons.

Fix: Try ‘Forgot password?’ to reset. If you’re sure the password is right, confirm with your admin that the email on file matches what you’re typing.

Sign-in keeps being blocked — too many tries.

Why: Simone rate-limits login attempts (a handful per 15 minutes) to prevent brute-force attacks on your account.

Fix: Wait 15 minutes, then try once with the correct credentials or use ‘Forgot password?’. Your admin can confirm whether your account is locked.

I logged in but the menu looks empty or incomplete.

Why: Menu items are filtered by your assigned role. If your role isn’t set correctly you won’t see the tabs you expect.

Fix: Ask your admin to open your user record and confirm the role (for example, ‘clinician’ or ‘officeManager’). Refresh the page once they save the change.

‘Forgot password?’ doesn’t seem to do anything, or I never got the email.

Why: Your clinic may have disabled self-serve password reset, or the reset email is being filtered as spam. Not every clinic allows users to reset their own password.

Fix: Check your spam/junk folder first. If there’s nothing there, contact your HR lead or clinic owner — they can reset your password directly from the admin panel and send you a new temporary one.

I’m being told to reset my password on every login.

Why: Your admin flagged the account to require a password change — usually because it’s your first login or the password was reset on your behalf.

Fix: Set a new password on the reset screen and confirm. After one successful reset the prompt will stop.

My session logs me out too quickly.

Why: Simone expires idle sessions for HIPAA compliance. Hitting ‘lock screen’ or walking away both end the session.

Fix: Sign in again. Your work in open modals is not saved between sessions — save before stepping away.
