Manage cases
Use cases to group a client's services, treatment cycles, appointments, treatment plans, progress summaries, and outcome tracking around a clinical episode.
Before you start
- The client exists in Simone.
- You know which service line or clinical episode the case should represent.
Who can do this
Owners, admins, clinic managers, supervisors, and clinicians can work with cases when their role and clinic access allow it.
Step by step
- 1
Open Cases from the sidebar for a clinic-wide list, or open the Cases tab from a client profile for that client only.

- 2
Create a case from the client or Cases page. Select the client, service focus, clinicians, status, and any start details your clinic tracks.
- 3
Link appointments and treatment cycles to the active case so session consumption, progress-summary reminders, and reporting stay aligned.
- 4
Use the case overview to monitor status, active cycles, recent appointments, progress summaries, and treatment-plan context.
- 5
Close, complete, or discontinue the case only when the clinical episode is finished and the related cycle/reporting work is complete.
If something isn’t working
Tap a question to see the likely cause and the fix.
An appointment is not appearing under the case.
Why: The appointment may have been booked before the case existed or linked to a different active case.
Fix: Open the appointment details and confirm the case link. A clinic manager or admin can relink it.
Cycle progress looks wrong on a case.
Why: Session consumption depends on appointments being linked to the active treatment cycle and marked treated.
Fix: Review the cycle workspace and appointment links before editing totals manually.
