Navigate Simone
Use the sidebar, quick-add buttons, global search, lock screen, and role-filtered menu without losing your place.
Before you start
- You can sign in to Simone and land on /dashboard.
Who can do this
Every signed-in user can use the sidebar, lock screen, logout, and global search. The menu items you see depend on the roles assigned to your user record.
Step by step

Use the left sidebar to move between modules. On desktop, hover over the collapsed sidebar to reveal labels; on mobile, open the menu from the top bar.

Use the user banner at the top to quick-add a client, appointment, schedule item, or resource booking when those actions are available to your role.

Use global search to find clients, users, services, invoices, insurers, resources, and quick actions. Selecting a result opens the matching module and preselects the record when Simone can identify it.

Use Lock Screen before stepping away. It hides Simone without fully signing you out, but unsaved modal work should still be saved before you leave.

If the app looks stale after a deployment or your menu seems wrong, use /reset-redux only when support or an admin asks you to. It clears local cached app state and returns you to login.

Why do I not see a menu item my coworker sees?
Why: Sidebar entries are filtered by role. Simone also adds Payroll or Hourly Payroll based on the payroll type on your user profile.
Fix: Ask an admin or HR user to open your user record and confirm your roles and payroll type.
Search opens the wrong area for an invoice.
Why: Invoice search tries to open the linked client first so you can see the invoice in context. If the invoice is missing client data, Simone falls back to the Invoices page.
Fix: Open the client from the invoice, then use the Invoices tab on the client record.
